Smile 2, directed by Naomi Scott, is already a box office success and continues to make money. The film is now set to impress a wider audience as it is set to release on OTT platforms. About the film-

It is a sequel to the 2022 psychological supernatural horror film. The latest film was directed by Parker Finn and stars Naomi Scott as the pop star. Before leaving on tour, she begins to experience a series of very disturbing events. The sequel also stars Rosemarie DeWitt, Lucas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Ray Nicholson, Dylan Gelula and Raul Castillo. Only Kyle Gallner reprized his role from the last film.

The official synopsis for Smile 2 reads: “As global pop sensation Skye Riley prepares to embark on a new world tour, she begins to experience increasingly terrifying and unexplained events. Shaken by the mounting horrors and pressures of fame, Skye is forced to confront her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

Smile 2 grossed an impressive $23.02 million in its debut weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, the film was released in 3,619 theaters. The report also stated that the sequel grossed $47.86 million and is still a box office success in the US. The film is less than $8 million away from reaching the $100 million mark. The film had a reported budget of $28 million and earned 235.25% more than its production budget. It’s now set to hit digital platforms, but there’s a catch.

According to a report by When To Stream, Smile 2 will be available on digital platforms including Apple, Amazon, Vudu, etc., but in PVOD format. The film was released in theaters on October 18 and will reportedly be available on OTT platforms on November 19, exactly a month after its theatrical release. However, the makers have not yet confirmed this news.
