Chloë Grace Moretz has officially come out as a “gay woman,” endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

Chloë Grace Moretz came out as gay on Saturday, showing her support for Kamala Harris.

The Kick-Ass star made the announcement on Instagram as she publicly endorsed the vice presidential candidacy and revealed she voted early in the 2024 US presidential election.

“I voted early and voted for Kamala Harris,” Moretz wrote next to a photo of a red, white and blue sticker that read, “I voted early in 2024.” “There is so much at stake in this election.”

“I believe that the government has no right to my body as a woman and that decisions regarding my body should be made by me and my doctor ONLY. Kamala Harris will protect this for us,” she continued.

“I believe in the need for legal protections that protect the LGBTQ+ community as gay women. We need protection in this country and access to the health care we need and deserve.”

She concluded her message by urging her followers to go to the polls with their friends.

While this is the first time Moretz has publicly revealed her sexual orientation, she has been rumored to be dating Kate Harrison since 2018 when they were spotted locking lips outside Nobu Malibu in California.

In what appeared to be an eventful date, the pair then headed to a party at Soho House before leaving hand in hand and stopping to enjoy a long make out session.

Before meeting Harrison, Moretz was romantically involved with ex Brooklyn Beckham.

Moretz, who has two gay brothers, has long been an advocate for the LGBT community.

“We grew up in an area of Georgia where ‘praying to the gays’ is a very real thing. There were a few people in our small town who had apparently said their prayers to the gays and were now on good terms with their wives,” Moretz told PorterEdit in 2018.

The actress also opened up about her experience growing up alongside her brothers, telling Gay Times later that year that she “grew up fighting on their behalf” because “it broke my heart to see that yes, they could stand up for myself, but people wouldn’t listen.”

“So I took it upon myself, with their blessing, to go out there and talk about it and tell people, ‘Hey, being gay isn’t such a big deal at all. But be proud, be there and raise the flag high. Be part of the community and be there for the community,” she said.
