DETROIT (AP) — Dylan Larkin scored two power-play goals in the second period and the Detroit Red Wings snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Buffalo on Saturday night.

Cam Talbot made 31 saves for the Red Wings. lost 5-3 to Buffalo a week earlier.

Alex Tuch scored a short-handed goal for the Sabres, who have lost three straight games. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 21 saves.

Detroit held on despite losing its eighth game in a row. During that time, the Red Wings lost 276-181.

Sabres: Buffalo entered the game ranked 31st in power play, scoring three goals on 33 chances. The Sabers lost both power plays on Saturday and have yet to score while having the man advantage on the road.
