Texas father killed on Halloween by Michael Myers masked killer

Investigators say the killer who gunned down a Texas father on Halloween night in his Houston garage hid his identity behind a white Michael Myers mask.

Relatives identified the slain father as Eric Pate Jr., 38.

Pate’s murder came more than two months after the murder of his ex-wife and the mother of his three children, ABC13 Houston reported.

On August 16, 37-year-old Carman Peterson was fatally shot in an apartment, also in Houston.

ABC 13 reported that investigators have identified Pate as the person involved in the still unsolved murder.

Police said they were called to the grisly crime scene just before 11:30 pm on Halloween night after several neighbors and one of Pate’s children called 911.

Two small children were in the home when the shooting occurred but were not injured.

His third child, a toddler, was with a relative and was not home at the time, ABC13 reported.

Neighbors reported seeing a man wearing the iconic “Form” mask running from the area.

The mask became famous thanks to the Halloween slasher film series.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for Pate’s murder. T

The investigation into Peterson’s murder also remains open, and detectives are trying to link the two cases.
