Meghan’s bombshell claim about the royal family is finally refuted by an insider | Royal | News

Meghan Markle’s claim that the royal family failed to help her adjust to royal life has finally been debunked by royal insiders.

According to the Mail, royal insiders now claim that it was Meghan who “threw their offer in their faces” and that she was the one who refused their help.

Sources say the royal family did everything they could to help Meghan adjust to royal life, but she did not want any additional help.

According to The Sun newspaper, one of the staff working at the palace at the time said: “It was Clive (now Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s private secretary) who said that if we could get everything right for Harry, we would create a plan for future younger sons for generations.

“We seconded people from Clarence House to them, very experienced people, but the Duchess did not trust them.”

Addressing Meghan and Harry’s claims that they were not supported, the sources added: “The two were offered significant resources and then later said they were not offered any help. And it was completely wrong.”

Not only did Meghan help her become a member of the royal family, but she has previously claimed that her family was unsupportive when she opened up about her mental health struggles. The mother of two said this in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

Meghan said the palace told her she couldn’t get help because it “wouldn’t benefit the institution.”

Less than two years after their royal wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced plans to step back from royal duties in early 2020. The couple now lives in California with their two children, five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
