Twins Hoygaard Rasmus And Nikolay won their places in the first competition DP World Tour Play-offs following qualification for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which will take place at Yas Links from 7 to 10 November.

Rasmus is currently in third position in the Race to Dubai rankings thanks to an impressive 2024 campaign which saw him win his fifth DP World Tour title at the Amgen Irish Open at Royal County Down in September.

He trails McIlroy by just under 2,000 points in the season standings, but a strong performance at Yas Links would give him an outside chance of qualifying for the Race to Dubai if he repeats his twin brother’s success last year to win the DP. World Tour Championship.

This will be his fourth appearance at the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championships, with his best result to date coming from his last outing in 2022 when he finished 20th.
