South Africans accuse Mosimane of chasing money after another defeat

  • Pitso Mosimane has suffered another defeat as coach of Esteghlal Khuzestan FC in the Gulf Pro League.
  • The South African tactician started his reign in the Asian League poorly, with two defeats in a row.
  • Local fans have accused the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach of being after money rather than coaching.

South Africans have accused Pitso Mosimane of being after money after Esteghlal suffered two straight defeats under the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Mosimane was recently appointed coach of the Iranian club and began his reign at the club with a 3-1 defeat to Kheybar Khorramabad, which led the former Al Ahly coach to question the player’s mentality.

The South African tactician failed to get a positive result in the second game. Esteghlal suffered a defeat at home with a score of 2:0, and in the second half Aref Agasi scored a double and brought Traktor a well-deserved victory.

South Africans accuse Mosimane of chasing money

Mosimane was without a club when he left Abha last season and was expected to return to the Premier League, but that did not happen as he was focused on making a difference outside South Africa.

The first match was seen as a highly anticipated match in the Gulf Pro League for Pitso, but his team’s second defeat was met with much criticism from the fans, especially the South Africans.

Mzansi fans reacting to Esteghlal’s second defeat under Mosimane believe the former Sundowns boss is too focused on money rather than coaching.

BabonkeL said:

“Training for money is ruining Pitso’s career.”

popomosarwane reacted:

“Pitso needs to stop coaching for money and focus on a club with a project that matches his vision before he ruins his own legacy.”

YongsHlangeni shared:

“I don’t think he’s still into the game… Now it’s about the money.”
