President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Major General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluede as acting Chief of Army Staff.

The presidential statement said Oluede will retain power as the Chief of Army Staff; awaiting the return of Lieutenant General Taorid Lagbaji, who is reported to be ill and undergoing treatment abroad.
