Trevon Diggs’ latest injury report is the last thing the Cowboys defense needs.

Trevon Diggs’ latest injury report is the last thing the Cowboys defense needs.

Player health has been a major concern for the Dallas Cowboys this season, and it doesn’t look like their luck will change anytime soon. Trevon Diggs joined the defensive lineman’s injured list when he unexpectedly missed training camp on Wednesday.

It was initially an undisclosed injury, but Diggs later admitted that his calf was bothering him. He said he’s “working on it,” which includes missing more workouts.

The Cowboys have Brandon Aubrey back from jury duty, but Diggs will have a session with a rehab team, according to John Machota.

Dallas’ defense has struggled a lot this season, but it’s hard to judge them too harshly. They saw Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Sam Williams and DaRon Bland miss time. Even some of their replacements were out of action, with Marshawn Niland and Kalen Carson also sidelined.

Adding Diggs to the roster seems ominous given the plethora of injuries he’s already suffered.

Diggs missed all but two games in 2023 with a torn ACL. They have yet to see him and Bland on the field together this season. They hope Bland returns soon, but they won’t have to worry about Diggs’ status.
