Joe Wicks fans beg him to ‘be a good role model’

Joe Wicks gave his followers a major scare after a recent family trip abroad, but not on a deliberate Halloween.

The fitness guru is usually full of good advice to the public about protecting our health, but some people were left unimpressed after seeing his holiday snaps.

Whenever he can, the father of four heads to Santa Monica with his family, but there was something about a lot of the pictures this year that had people asking questions.

The photo in question shows Joe and his wife Rosie with their children – Indy, Marley, Leni and Dusty – posing on their bikes during an evening stroll.

Problem? Joe, Rosie and four-month-old Dusty don’t wear helmets. The 39-year-old’s comments section was flooded with calls to take precautions when riding a bike.

Although all of Weeks’ older children wore helmets, parents were warned that adults also needed to protect their heads.

“Mr Weeks, as someone who encourages the nation to keep fit, please do your part to encourage that same nation to wear bike helmets, not just kids,” one concerned person wrote.

“Fantastic band, but please show the country and the world that wearing bike helmets is cool!” another person wrote, while a third added: “So the one with the weakest skull and the most vulnerable doesn’t have a helmet?” Pay less attention to maintaining physical fitness, more attention to basic safety!”

Others in the comments defended Joe, suggesting the parents may have removed their helmets for the photo, with one person saying: “There are security police at this post.”

The Weeks family is not new to California, as they often spend time there on vacation. Joe and Rosie bought a second home in Santa Monica and travel there as often as they can.
