Woman Reveals Adorable Reason Why She ‘Had’ To Adopt A Dog

A pet owner’s bond with her adopted dog has delighted viewers online.

Owner (@finneasandmilo) took to TikTok to share a sweet reason why she believes she “had” to adopt her pet, and both instinctively associate 8 pm as the time for a quick snack before bed.

She shared a short video of her Jack Russell Terrier/Toy Poodle mix racing through the kitchen for her favorite treat, an evening carrot stick.

The post, captioned “Best Friends,” was viewed more than 1.5 million times and warmed the hearts of viewers.

The video shows the dog running around the kitchen excitedly before being given a carrot stick. He took the snack to bed and enjoyed it on the blanket before going to bed.

The text overlaid on the video read: “I was forced to adopt him because how could anyone else understand that exactly 8 pm means it’s time to dance in the kitchen over peeled and washed carrots before bed.”

The light-hearted video attracted more than 1,300 comments from viewers online, many of whom were able to relate to the pet owner’s unusual but adorable lifestyle with her dog.

“If my husband makes the slightest noise and chews, I get angry. However, this little angel,” said one of the viewers @lili.ana.living.

Another, @mc_bubble, wrote: “Sooooo dogs can eat whole carrots. I need to show this to my boy immediately. He insists on cutting it small and still pretends that it’s not enough, even though he loves it.”

“Why are dog pads the cutest,” said third viewer @itsmargsb.

“My parents’ new puppy didn’t understand why the turtles got watermelon as a treat without her. So we gave her her own piece. We have a photo of them all eating together in a circle,” @wakeupsleeprepeat commented.

“Carrots are good for your teeth,” said @ravenhodgins1. “I wish my dog would eat them lol he spits them out in a million pieces.”

“Mine RUNS to her bed after the last potty (because) she knows it’s bedtime and takes out her crispy stick. She looks at (your) hands when (you) enter the room. No crunch? You’re not sleeping,” @shawllister said.
