Shortly after his denial, fans praised Pounds’ decision to delay the release. “Thank you for making the right choice. This is in the spirit of what Liam would choose,” someone commented under the singer’s post.

“Sam, this is a good decision, it is a gesture of love and respect, you are prioritizing Liam’s family and honoring his memory while respecting everyone’s time of mourning,” someone else wrote.

Liam Payne’s death was reported on October 16, 2024 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31 years old. Tributes have since poured in for the star from both fans and his former One Direction members, as well as other musicians and celebrities. Besides One Direction, Payne released his only solo album.
