Hetmyer returns as West Indies announce squad for ODI series against England

West Indies announced their 15-man squad for the one-day international series against England on Tuesday.

Shimron Hetmyer returns to the team after last playing in the 2-1 win over England last December. He will replace Alick Athanase in the only change to the line-up that toured Sri Lanka earlier this month.

“The game against England always presents a new challenge and reignites the rivalry that players and people in the Caribbean crave,” West Indies head coach Daren Sammy said in a statement.

The three-match ODI series begins in Antigua on Thursday before the final clash in Barbados on November 6.

West Indies will face England again in a five-match T20 series starting November 9, with the squad yet to be announced.
