After FBI: The Emotional Tale of Wes Mitchell, I completely understand Jesse Lee Soffer’s reaction to filming this episode.

Spoilers ahead for episode 3. FBI: International Season 4 on CBS is called “No Surprises.”

Season four FBI: International Without wasting any time, the Fall 2024 TV schedule is ahead of the addition. Chicago PD alumnus Jesse Lee Soffer on Team Fly as SSA Wes Mitchell. His first episode was designed to feel like a pilot, and the character was a pain in the ass for his new co-stars from the start, but the team seemed like a well-oiled machine in the case of the missing girl in Portugal from No Surprise.

After watching this episode and his story about Mitchell in the final minutes, I remembered what Soffer told me about filming in Portugal. However, first things first!

An emotional revelation about Wes Mitchell

Mitchell’s earliest scene in the episode (which will be available to stream with a Paramount+ subscription) shows him in a tattoo parlor charming an artist by lying about the job that brought him to Budapest. Honestly, my first thought was that Wes Mitchell was making some questionable decisions by getting a permanent tattoo on his arm in Hungary before he even found an apartment, but his reasoning became clear by the end of the episode when Waugh gave a beautiful speech . prompting him to open up to her and the rest of the Fly Team.

Back at the tattoo parlor, this episode gave us a quick look at the numbers Mitchell had inked on his arm, and this time he was more honest when the artist asked a few questions. He explained that these were the badge numbers of “fellow agents that (he) worked with, my friends.” The first was in honor of Alana Greggs, created two years earlier, and the second was dedicated to Mike Brooks, who died in the season four premiere.

I hadn’t seen this episode when I spoke with Jesse Lee Soffer about why Chicago PD fans should watch FBI: InternationalSo I couldn’t ask then if he was now required to get fake tattoos on his arm every time he acted in short films from now on. However, now that I look back, he did give some details that clearly related to “Nothing Sudden About It” and they are definitely easy to get.

What Jesse Lee Soffer Told Us

Coming to FBI: International After more than 200 episodes of NBC’s One Chicago as Detective Jay Halstead, it was a bold move for Jesse Lee Soffer, and even had him questioning what he was getting into. I had to move to Budapest for filming, so when I spoke with the actor, I asked about his experience of the move. He shared:

The move was very interesting and fun. Budapest is an amazing city. I’m learning Hungarian so I can pick up little things here and there on set. I can curse the storm. I’m not going to do any of that here today, but I really like it. The only hard part is finding your own comfort. Amazon doesn’t actually operate here, so you won’t be able to get your regular ordered items delivered to your home. (laughs) It’s a little more complicated.

The actor has not uttered a single curse word that he has picked up since joining the team. FBI: Internationalbut apparently the longer he stays in Budapest, the more he learns the Hungarian language. While moving to Europe has its challenges, he brought up a filming experience that I now know was a reference to Epsido 3. Soffer continued:

When you get to filming in Portugal and then Paris, there are moments when you think, “I can’t believe I’m at work right now.” My God, I’m on the shore of some beach in Portugal. How realistic is this?

The characters didn’t get to fully appreciate this beach in Portugal while they were investigating the case of a missing teenage girl while traveling from the United States, but that’s not the case. FBI: Internationalnew leading actor. After watching this episode, I completely understood what Jesse Lee Soffer meant when he said that visiting a gorgeous beach in Portugal was part of his job.
