Sources: Vikings acquire LT Cam Robinson in trade with Jaguars.

Eagan, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings acquired Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson on Tuesday, sources told ESPN, and moved quickly and aggressively to replace injured incumbent Christian Darrisaw.

In addition to Robinson, the Vikings receive a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick that could be recalled depending on playing time, while the Jaguars receive a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick that could become a fourth-round pick depending on playing time, according to sources. .

Robinson, 29, is in the final year of a contract that will pay him $16.25 million this season.

Darrisaw suffered a torn ACL and ACL in his left knee during the Vikings’ 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Thursday. He signed a four-year contract extension in August and is expected to make a full recovery next season.

That makes Robinson a likely short-term addition for the rest of the season, which the Vikings are off to a surprising 5-2 start.

Veteran backup David Quessenberry replaced Darrisaw against the Rams, but Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell later said the team would look at multiple position options in the final 10 games.

Robinson started the Jaguars’ first seven games but was replaced by fourth-year starter Walker Little on Sunday against Green Bay. This was the first time in his career that he was active in a game but did not play.

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said Monday it hasn’t been decided whether Little will start.

Robinson, whose career pass-block win rate is 81.7%, played in nine games in 2023, missing the first four due to a suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. He missed four more games while on injured reserve with a knee injury.

This was the third straight season in which Robinson missed games due to injury. He has played just one full season (2020) since being drafted 34th overall by the Jaguars in 2017 and has missed 32 games in his career due to injury, suspension or benching. spares.

It was not immediately clear whether Robinson would be available for the Vikings’ next game on Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts.

Darrisaw, 25, has been the Vikings’ starting left guard since they selected him with the 23rd overall pick in the 2021 draft. He battled a series of injuries but performed well enough to earn a new contract worth up to $113 million.

The injury occurred when Darrisaw blocked a shot with 35 seconds left in the first half Thursday. Rams safety Jaylen McCullough fell to his left knee and was helped straight to the locker room by team medical personnel as the Vikings ended the half.
