Louisville Bats announce 2025 season games; Thunder home game over Louisville scheduled

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Louisville Bats released their 2025 season schedule on Tuesday, October 29th.

The Bats’ first home game of the 25th season at Louisville Slugger Field is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 7:05 p.m. against the Memphis Redbirds.

That game will be followed by a special kids’ Opening Day game on Saturday at 2:05 p.m., and the three-game season-opening home game will conclude with a 1:05 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, according to the announcement.

The Thunder over Louisville game returns to Louisville Slugger Field after the Bats hit the road for the Thunder in 2024. A special game against the Indianapolis Indians is set for Saturday, April 12 at 2:05 p.m., followed by an on-field concert. fireworks and much more. These details will be published in the future.

The 2025 International Bats League season will run from March 28 to September 21 and will feature 75 home games at Louisville Slugger Field and 75 road games. Many of the game’s highlights at home are similar to those of the 2024 season.

Most Tuesday and Thursday home games will begin at 6:35 p.m., and eight of the 12 Wednesday games at Louisville Slugger Field are scheduled for 11:05 a.m. or 12:05 p.m., as specials will be available for educational and camp groups as well as for businessmen. This means that the Tuesday evening games on April 22 and May 6 will begin at 6:05 p.m., which is the same as the next day’s morning start time.

Friday and Saturday night games will generally be played at 7:15 p.m., with the exception of the first Saturday, March 29, and the Thunder Over Louisville game on April 12.

Sunday games also resume at 1:05 p.m., with the only Sunday night game before Labor Day at 6:05 p.m. on Aug. 31 against the Columbus Clippers.

Some holiday weekend home games include a Mother’s Day game on Sunday, May 11 against the Omaha Storm Chasers, a Memorial Day weekend matchup against Gwinnett that will tip at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, and Independence Day Eve.
