Nectar Ultra mattress: design and features

Nectar Ultra mattresses are incredibly thick—both models are 15 inches tall—and loaded with Nectar’s latest sleep innovations. Thick mattresses provide enough relief for side sleepers, but they can be difficult to get in and out of if you have limited mobility.

Underneath the lid is a layer of memory foam. The dense, four-inch thick foam should conform to the shape of your body, distributing weight and reducing pressure buildup. This layer also features phase change material to dissipate heat—Nectar promises these mattresses are four times cooler than Nectar Classic models.

Next comes a layer of three-inch support foam. The Tt has three ergonomic zones that provide more support to the core (hips, spine and shoulders). This is the only Nectar mattress with enhanced lumbar support (for now), making it a top choice if you’re looking for a Nectar mattress for back pain.

Now that we’ve covered the similarities, let’s look at the differences. Nectar Ultra Memory Foam has eight inches of durable support foam at the base. This “motion isolation” layer uses dense foam to absorb movement while keeping the entire bed stable.

Instead of a thick layer of foam, the Ultra Hybrid combines an eight-inch-tall layer of pocket springs with a final layer of foam. The springs give the Ultra Hybrid more responsive support and stronger bounce, which is good for mixed sleepers who like to move around.
