The Diddy controversy is fueling outrageous Halloween costume trends featuring blackface and baby oil bottles.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has increased controversy as he influences 2024 Halloween costume trends. The “shameful” trend was inspired by the recent scandal surrounding the disgraced tycoon, and people have jumped on it. Serious outrage has erupted as a couple dressed up as Diddy and ugly baby oil battle it out over the spooky season. He recently took a new hit with pedophilia allegations on top of the previous more than 120 lawsuits. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

“Shameful” Diddy Costume Trend and Baby Oil Bottle

Recently, a young couple dressed up as the disgraced tycoon and used a bottle of baby oil, citing the 1,000 bottles that were found in his home. A girl dressed up as a pink bottle of Johnson’s baby oil, and an apparently white guy donned a black suit to impersonate Diddy and ended up with black paint on his face.

The girl also held a bottle of baby oil in one hand, joining her elbows with her partner on the other side. The controversial photo was part of a scrolling video shared by a friend who posted various Halloween costumes from his “group chat” with the caption “PDiddy and baby oil.”

Other Halloween costumes with similar black face paint appeared along with another white man who dressed up as Diddy in an orange jumpsuit. The man, who someone identified as being from Scottdale, Arizona, had “Diddy” written in bold letters on his suit.

The lawsuit, which accused the tycoon of child sexual abuse, alleged that he smeared “lotions or similar body oils” and what is commonly known as a “date rape drug” or GHB. The lawsuit included “allegations that Combs doused victims with lotions or similar body oils… laced with GHB so that the drug would be absorbed through the victim’s skin and make it easier to attack them,” according to RadarOnline.

Netizens criticized the young couple

The Diddy costume trend has sent netizens into a frenzy, with one user writing on X: “Damn… I don’t know what’s worse. The fact that he did blackface in 2024, or the fact that his costume doesn’t even scream Diddy and it was just an excuse to paint his face.” A second user wrote: “Sick of white people because you did blackface to make a couple costume like Diddy and baby oil like????” A third user wrote: “YI: P Diddy is not a Halloween costume. It’s not funny. It’s not cute. It’s not cool. Don’t do this.”

Another user wrote: “This is racist,” while another wrote: “I mean it’s a funny costume. But I don’t understand how they thought it would end well.”
