Evansville City Council Votes Unanimously to Pass Next Year’s Budget

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Evansville City Council voted unanimously to pass the city’s 2025 budget.

Mayor Stephanie Terry shared highlights of Monday night’s meeting on social media, including that city employees will receive a three percent raise for the first time in more than a decade.

Terry also mentioned $24 million in bonds to improve city parks and recreation facilities.

Earlier this month, Terry said the council approved a bond to renovate the new fire station.

The full budget will be posted on the City of Evansville website later this week for public viewing, the mayor said.
