History repeated itself on Sunday—sort of—when Donald Trump appeared at Madison Square Garden with a member of the Kennedy family during a raucous rally for the ex-president.

Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took the stage at different points in the world’s most famous arena, 25 years after the businessman sat courtside during a New York Knicks game with John F. Kennedy Jr. months before how he died in a plane crash.

The photo also circulated online earlier this summer with a fake quote attributed to John F. Kennedy Jr. that claimed Trump would be an “overwhelming force for final justice.” According to Reuters, the fake online quote came after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandoned his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump.

During an MSG rally on Sunday, RFK criticized the Democratic Party in front of nearly 20,000 people.

“A lot of people ask me why I left the Democratic Party, and I say, ‘I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me,’” Kennedy said to thunderous applause.

“This is no longer the party of Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy or John F. Kennedy. It was a peace party.”
