‘Everyone is worried’: New concerns over Nicole Kidman’s grief after viral video of Australian actress insulting Salma Hayek

Nicole Kidman’s family and friends have reportedly expressed concern for the Australian Oscar winner following the death of her mother Janelle Kidman.

The beloved family patriarch Kidman died aged 84 after a long illness in September, prompting Nicole to pull out of her Venice Film Festival appearance and return to Sydney to mourn alongside her sister Antonia.

Nicole and Antonia’s father, Dr Anthony Kidman, predeceased his wife by ten years after he died of a heart attack in Singapore in 2014 at the age of 75.

An unnamed source close to the Australian Oscar winner told Woman’s Day magazine that Kidman is “throwing herself into work” amid her grief.

“Nicole still looks as amazing as ever, but she’s been through a lot and she seems to be coping with her grief by putting herself into work,” the source said.

Kidman took a short break from promoting her new film “Girl” and Netflix series “The Perfect Match” following Janelle’s death, but the 57-year-old actress quickly resumed a busy schedule of events around the world.

“There are times when she sleeps more on the plane than on the bed,” the source said.

“Everyone is worried about her.”

The same month Janelle died, Kidman flew to Paris to attend the prestigious Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week, which was likely a contractual obligation since Nicole serves as an ambassador for the luxury brand.

Fans captured a tense moment between Kidman and fellow actress Salma Hayek in the front row, with Kidman appearing to be on edge, yanking Hayek’s hand away as they posed for photos.

The Expats star was also in Paris to support her daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban after the rising modeling star made her runway debut during the Miu Miu show.

Kidman, her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret returned to Sydney earlier this month for Janelle’s funeral, and a few days later Kidman flew out to the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, the movie star stunned on the red carpet at the season two premiere of Paramount’s “Lioness” in Los Angeles and opened up about losing her mother for the first time.

“I wish my mom was here,” she told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet.

“That’s the only thing I would say.

“Work is great, but I wish my mom was here.”
