The Bledisloe Cup match with New Zealand was scheduled for 4 October 2025. This is the third time the exhibition match will be held in the Western Australian city.

The Wallabies will return to Townsville in north Queensland for the first time in four years to open their home Rugby Championship account against Los Pumas on September 6, before the two teams meet again in Sydney a week later.

“We saw massive support for the game in Perth again this year, with more than 58,000 fans at Optus Stadium for the South Africa match,” Rugby Australia chief executive Phil Waugh said.

“I’m sure we’ll see a lot of interest when the Bledisloe Cup Test returns to Western Australia next year.

“The opportunity to return to Townsville demonstrates our commitment to making our national teams more accessible to more Australians,” he added.

Australia hosts the British and Irish Lions ahead of the Rugby Championship.
