India and Spain will celebrate 2026: the year of culture, tourism and artificial intelligence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over the decision to mark 2026 as the Year of Culture, Tourism and Artificial Intelligence between India and Spain, highlighting the strong bond between the people of both countries. The cultural cooperation was formalized during an event celebrating the historical ties between the two countries.

Showcasing the connections between people through shared interests in food, cinema and football, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the cultural significance brought to India by famous personalities such as Father Carlos Valle of Spain, who was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions. This initiative aims to promote further cultural exchanges and joint projects.

In a show of increased industrial cooperation, Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the TATA Aviation Complex in Vadodara. The facility will be India’s first final assembly line for private military aircraft, marking a significant step in developing India’s defense manufacturing capabilities. This partnership is evidence of strengthening bilateral ties.
