A case of scurvy in a Perth hospital has caused concern among the state’s political leaders, and the Liberals have used it to accuse the government of squandering Western Australia’s boom.

A middle-aged Perth man who ate little fruit and vegetables and frequently skipped meals was being treated for scurvy at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, The West reported on Wednesday.
