Buckingham Palace shared news: King Charles and Camilla have completed their tour of Australia

King Charles and Queen Camilla officially ended their visit to Australia on Tuesday as the royal couple prepared for their next destination: Samoa.

Before departure, Buckingham Palace issued a farewell message after three days of hectic royal meetings.

On Wednesday, a video clip of the highlights and a message for him were published on the monarch’s official social networks.

“Goodbye Australia,” the message began with a fluttering emoji. “It was a spectacular end to Their Majesties’ visit to Australia at the iconic Sydney Opera House. (starstruck emoji) Thank you to everyone who came out to show their support and for so many special memories.”

In the short video, Charles and Camilla are seen greeting crowds of people waiting outside the Sydney Opera House to see the royal couple. They both shook hands with the audience and interacted with people and cheering children.

The post officially marked the seemingly successful conclusion of the Down Under tour, despite loud protests from Senator Lydia Thorpe in Canberra on Monday.

It was King Charles and Camilla’s first international tour since their shocking cancer diagnosis. As for Australia, this was the first time a reigning king set foot on its soil.
