Perth man treated for scurvy, illness linked to cost of living crisis

Scurvy, the scourge of sailors in the 15th and 16th centuries, is making a comeback in Washington state amid a cost-of-living crisis.

A middle-aged Perth man who ate little fruit and vegetables and often skipped meals was being treated for scurvy at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
