A 13-year-old girl has been charged with jumping on a parked police car in Glenorchy.

Police have charged a young girl after she allegedly damaged a police car at Glenorchy Bus Centre.

A 13-year-old girl was arrested after she reportedly jumped onto the hood and windshield of a parked car.

She appeared in Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday.

“Everyone has the right to feel safe in our public places and the police remain committed to identifying and deterring those who engage in anti-social and unlawful behaviour,” the spokesman said.

“Anyone who witnesses anti-social or illegal behavior is asked to contact police on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers Tasmania.”

“Information may be provided anonymously.”
