Michigan rallies for former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris were packed Saturday.

With less than 10 days until the Nov. 5 presidential election, supporters of Trump, the Republican nominee, and Harris, the Democratic nominee, came out to support the candidates in the battleground state of Michigan.

Trump’s afternoon rally in Novi, about 40 minutes northwest of Detriot, was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace. A large crowd gathered behind, in front of and on the sides of Trump’s podium, according to Getty photos and videos posted on social media.

Trump’s communications director, Stephen Chung, said this. Newsweek said in an email Saturday night that the rally in Novi was filled “to maximum capacity with thousands of people outside.”

Meanwhile, the stands at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo were packed for Harris’ rally with former first lady Michelle Obama on Saturday night, according to video on social media. Her podium floor was also packed with Harris supporters.

The size of the crowd at the rally became a talking point during the election. Harris’ campaign has repeatedly mocked the size of Trump’s rallies while boasting about the large turnout at the vice president’s events.

Meanwhile, Trump claims more people are attending his rallies. At one point, he said Harris used artificial intelligence (AI) in photography to increase the size of her crowd at a rally in Detroit.

Referring to a photo taken at that rally, Trump wrote on social media in August: “Did anyone notice Kamala CHEATING at the airport? There was no one on the plane, and she “tempted” it and showed a huge “crowd”. so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!”

The former president also said the large crowd at Harris’ rally was “fake,” adding, “She should be disqualified because creating a false image is ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Anyone who does this will be cheating at everything!”

A Harris campaign spokesman said this. Newsweek then “I can confirm that the photo was taken by Harris campaign staff and was not altered in any way by AI.”
