Pregnant Lindsay Hubbard threw a ‘unique baby shower for herself and herself’

Lindsey Hubbard didn’t want a “traditional baby shower.”

The pregnant Summer House star gathered with loved ones at New York’s Paris Café on Saturday to celebrate with a baby shower, Us Weekly reported on Sunday.

“What makes my baby shower more unique is that it’s a joint baby shower that he and she can celebrate—not just the baby’s mom, but the baby’s dad,” Hubbard, who is expecting her first child with her doctor boyfriend Turner Kufe. – said the publication.

“I wanted my boyfriend to be celebrated, loved and supported by his friends and family as much as my friends and family were with me. So that was the main decision.”

Hubbard, 38, further explained that she “didn’t want to put too much pressure” on the congregation.

“I didn’t want a traditional baby shower where me and all my girlfriends are sitting in a chair (opening gifts),” said the mom-to-be, who announced her pregnancy in July.

“No one is interested in this. People just want to celebrate you and have fun and have fun.”

The reality star also expressed excitement about the next chapter and getting closer to her boyfriend’s loved ones.

“It’s really special to go into this new chapter of my life and have a family, especially for our daughter to have cousins ​​nearby that she can play with and call her family,” Hubbard said.

As for the venue, Bravolebrity raved about the ambiance of the Parisian cafe, which was decorated in “warm colors” like dusty pink and purple for the special occasion.

“When I went to see this place, it was so beautiful, so open, especially during the day. (It) has a lot of windows that allow sunlight to come in, and it feels both indoors and outdoors,” she shared.

The expectant mother posted a message on Instagram and flooded her story with photos and videos from the celebration.

The party was decorated with huge balloons and giant letters that read “Baby Cub” in honor of the couple’s daughter.

Next to the sign was a giant teddy bear with a pink bow.

Hubbard wore a pink Costarellos dress for the evening. She paired the ensemble with silver heels and wore her blonde hair in an updo.

Earlier this month, the Summer House star teased her baby’s “unique” name in an exclusive interview with Page Six on the red carpet at Us Weekly’s Reality Stars of the Year event in Los Angeles.

“We had a name for a while that we both really liked from the start. We use it all the time just with each other… to try it on and make sure we like it, we like the way it’s written, we like the way it sounds,” she said.

“The only thing I will tell you is that it’s more unique to America.”
