Brisbane Entertainment Center is currently seeking an experienced AV Technical Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of the AV Technical Supervisor is primarily to support the Technical Coordinator and Technical Manager by listing and supervising temporary technical staff and equipment, training and developing staff, providing technical support during events, liaising with Employer representatives and others. staff to ascertain their needs for events, activities, meetings, training and other activities as required.

As a successful candidate, you will have the following skills and key qualities:

  • At least 2 years of experience working on large sites;
  • Knowledge/experience with modern audio and video equipment and computer software;
  • Excellent communication and planning skills;
  • Knowledge of entertainment lighting systems;
  • Flexible work schedule;
  • Physically healthy;
  • Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace;
  • High computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to embrace diversity, build rapport, and communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Ability to communicate with people of all types and cultures;
  • Permanent professional and corporate presence;
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a constantly changing environment;
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic qualifications and licenses:

  • Valid intermediate rigging license;
  • Work at height;
  • Valid forklift license;
  • Routine first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police background check.

Built by Brisbane City Council as a world-class mixed-use facility, the Brisbane Entertainment Center formed part of Brisbane’s bid to host the 1992 Olympic Games. The center has been managed by ASM Global (formerly AEG Ogden Brisbane Pty Ltd) since its inception. Ownership was transferred to Stadiums Queensland (formerly the Major Sports Venues Authority) from 1 July 2002.

The Brisbane Entertainment Center has hosted many events including monster trucks, supercross, circuses, bull riding, concerts, conventions, school performance nights, ice shows, wrestling and boxing.
