Pamila-Ray Jetta: Police intensify search for 21-year-old woman who attacked a toddler in a shopping center

Police have released the identity of a woman who may be able to help with the investigation into the attack on a young child at a shopping center on Tuesday afternoon.

Cunnington detectives are urgently searching for 21-year-old Pamila-Rae Jetta in connection with an alleged assault at Park Center on the Albany Highway in East Victoria Park at around 1.25pm.

The terrified mum was holding her two-year-old daughter when the woman approached and hit the child before running away.

The girl suffered facial injuries.

Ms Jetta is described as olive-skinned, 170cm tall, with a thick build and a shaved head. She was last seen wearing green shorts with white stripes, a pink tank top and blue sneakers.

The 21-year-old was also recently spotted wearing a fluorescent pink wig.

The horrific incident comes just weeks after another shocking attack on an innocent child.

In August, nine-month-old Luca was shot and killed by a stranger while on a picnic with his mother in a Brisbane park.

It is alleged that the man approached the boy and poured a thermos of hot coffee on him, burning his face and chest.

The 33-year-old man was identified by Chinese media after he allegedly fled the country the day before he was identified by Queensland police.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Luca was left with severe burns on up to 60 percent of his body and has since undergone four operations and may also require skin grafts.
