‘Beauty and the Beast’ coming to Adelaide and Perth in 2025

Perth and Adelaide audiences will experience the romance of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast when the highly anticipated seasons of the hit musical open in Adelaide in May 2025 and Perth in July 2025. This will be the first time the show will be shown in both cities. city!

Adelaide: Those who register by Friday 15 November 2024 will receive priority access to tickets, which go on pre-sale on Monday 18 November 2024.

Perth: Those who register by Friday 29 November 2024 will receive priority access to tickets, which go on pre-sale on Tuesday 3 December 2024.

This enchanting and timeless story has been brought to life in an updated production that boasts all the spectacle and grandeur that audiences know and love. The incredible new production from the producers of The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Aladdin and Frozen will be shown at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Center and Crown Perth Theatre.

Receiving 5 stars from The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, Courier Mail, Guardian Australia and Time Out Sydney, reviews praised the cutting-edge technology, stunning costumes and big Broadway-style dance numbers combined with incredible music by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman. and Tim Rice, brought to life by a live orchestra.

Beauty and the Beast is a beloved classic that will fill the hearts of a new generation. The original production of Beauty and the Beast, based on the 1991 animated film, ran on Broadway for over 13 years, remaining to this day one of the 10 longest-running shows in Broadway history and touring in 37 countries. South and Western Australian audiences will be treated to nostalgic and haunting songs including Belle, Gaston, Human Again and Be Our Guest.

Belle and her Beast will be brought to life on stage by a stellar Australian cast starring Perth’s Shubshri Kandia as Belle, Brendan Xavier as the Beast and Rohan Brown as Lumiere.

Jackson Head will play the role of Gaston, Cogsworth will be played by Gareth Jacobs, and Jade Westaby will play Mrs. Potts.

Nick Cox joins as Le Fou, and Rodney Dobson will play Belle’s father, Maurice. Hayley Martin will play Babette and Alana Tranter will play Madame.

Members of the creative team from the original groundbreaking Broadway musical have returned to reimagine this classic tale. Olivier Award nominee Matt West directs and choreographs, leading a team that includes original composer Alan Menken, lyricist Tim Rice, book writer Linda Woolverton, scenic designer Stan Meyer, costume designer Anne Hould-Ward and lighting designer Natasha Katz. Collectively, the team received five Tony Award nominations and a win for Hould-Ward’s costume design when Disney first brought “Beauty and the Beast” to Broadway 28 years ago.
