Coming soon: Brisbane Q&A

Q&A returns on October 21 from the winner-take-all political battleground of Queensland.

Five days before the state election, voters appear ready to switch from Labor to the Liberal Nationals. It’s bad news for the prime minister, who cannot win a second term without key marginal seats in Queensland – and faces a growing Greens stronghold in inner Brisbane.

Prime Minister Steven Miles has proposed cuts in public transport prices and discounts on energy bills to reduce the cost of living. But opposition leader David Crisafulli’s tough-on-crime campaign is yielding results. The Greens say neither side offers enough promise on housing and are calling for radical intervention in the market.

A panel of local influencers at the Brisbane Powerhouse will answer your questions.

The Q+A will be broadcast from Brisbane on Monday. October 21 at 9:35 pm EST.
