RCMP are investigating suspicious deaths in Yarmouth, North Carolina.

Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating two suspicious deaths that occurred in Yarmouth on Friday.

Police say they responded to the sudden death of two adults who knew each other around 2:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, police say they found the remains of a 58-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman at a home on Placid Court.

No further details about the identity of the bodies have been released, but RCMP say the deaths are being treated as suspicious.

According to police, the investigation is still in its early stages.
