Grand Forks man accused of possessing 2 pounds of methamphetamine and 30 grams of mushrooms with intent to deliver – Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks man faces up to 20 years in prison after law enforcement executed a search warrant at his home and allegedly found several drugs, including 2 pounds of methamphetamine and 30 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

Douglas Allen Ostreng, 61, is charged with a Class A felony, possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony, possession of a Schedule I hallucinogenic substance with intent to deliver, a Class A misdemeanor, possession of cocaine, a Class A misdemeanor. Class B. at least half an ounce but less than 500 grams of marijuana.

On Oct. 29, the Grand Forks Drug Task Force issued a warrant for Ostreng, according to a probable cause statement filed in the case. Inside, law enforcement allegedly found approximately 1,001.4 grams of methamphetamine, including the weight of the bag, 30.23 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 0.82 grams of cocaine, 48.7 grams of marijuana, $3,844 in U.S. currency, a digital scale and designer bags.

Austreng’s first court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1.
