St John car park crash: Northampton man charged, two injured

A man is due to appear in court after a collision which left two pedestrians seriously injured and damaged a town center car park.

St John’s car park in Northampton was closed following a crash involving a black Seat Leon at approximately 3.30pm BST on Friday.

Northamptonshire Police said a 23-year-old man was charged with six offences, including two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the collision. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The man was also charged with failing to stop after an accident, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, aggravated vehicle theft and dangerous driving.
