What happened to Blue Lock season 2?

“I was working on the second episode Blue castleand I can tell you why its animation is so bad. A few months ago I started working on Blue castle the second season, where I worked on not one episode… not even two or three, but five episodes. I started working on the second episode and had to do 20 cuts from start to finish,” Reyes explains.

“Oddly enough, problems (with Blue castle) has not yet arisen. I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but my work was never released. Despite the low salary and short deadlines, we did everything we could. Many of my animations were (cut) in the final edit; In fact, their entire movement was liquidated. I don’t blame the person who worked on my cuts after me; They probably did the best they could in the time they were given.”

Regrettable result🥱🙇‍♂️ I think I can’t unite with the fact that my favorite people intend to use animation for many people, the director excluded the mayor from shots that could have been used to end the time in general, and the result ? El mismo que se vio en el episodio… #bluelock #sakuga

The animator continued by placing the blame on the production committee that oversees Blue castle for how bad the second season looks. “These problems… are the result of the activities of certain production committees. They take on projects to make a profit, but they do not care about the welfare of their workers. This is why I didn’t work anymore Blue castle episodes. After finishing the second episode, I decided to leave, and the end result, as I expected, was a disaster. I couldn’t be prouder of the workload.”

As you can see above, Reyes went so far as to post one of his original excerpts from Blue castle second season. The clip is not finished yet, as the animator was assigned to work on the layout, but there is already a huge difference. Reyes’ version features real running animation and shows us a lot of fast-paced action. When Blue castle The second season revived the second episode, well – the animation was stiff, to say the least. His characters were lucky if their legs moved at all while running, so clearly something got lost in translation, like B.Blue castle continuation of production.

Can Blue Lock Season 3 redeem the anime?

According to Reyes, the crux of the problem behind Blue castle the second season falls on the leaders. The animation team was not given enough time to make the second season look as good as the first. Although Reyes was able to modify the well-animated layout, the show’s other animation teams were unable to bring the concept to life. In the final stages, designers, colorists and animators cut corners. This was not due to laziness, but due to severe lack of time. Reyes talks about the fall Blue castle this could have been avoided with better production planning, but the show’s committee was unwilling to get involved.

As you can imagine, fans Blue castle incredibly disappointed with the second season. The first season of the series was a hit, and its popularity gave the Kodansha manga a huge boost in sales. Creators Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura are still working on the manga, but now their work has a shadow to contend with. Blue castle The second season has been called one of the worst turnarounds in anime. And if the anime gets an order for a third season, the production committee better reconsider the timing or face further humiliation.
