Tragic crash: car crashes into school fence in Melbourne

A Melbourne mother accidentally drove her car through a school fence, killing one child and seriously injuring four others, according to local police.

The incident occurred after a 40-year-old man picked up a child from Auburn South Elementary School and attempted to turn around outside the building. Her car crashed through a fence and into an outdoor table where children were sitting.

Authorities called the incident a tragic accident. The driver, who remains in custody, is being questioned while investigators are collecting evidence at the scene.
