Here’s where to eat this Thanksgiving at CSPA

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Here you can party, celebrate and more throughout the CSRA.

Takeaway

  • Metro Diner on Washington Road will be serving takeout on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving: Order by Tuesday, November 26th. Christmas: Order by Monday 23 December. Other orders: order 24 hours in advance.
  • Make reservations at the California Dreaming store located at 3241 Washington Rd.
  • Honey Baked Ham Company at 2825 Washington Road
  • Cracker Barrel locations are offering family-friendly dining options, and if you pre-order, you’ll receive a free digital rewards card when you plan to pick up on November 26th. 24 hours notice required.
  • The Frog and Chicken Restaurant in Augusta will host Thanksgiving dinner. Be sure to make your reservation today or call 706-755-2767.

Events

The RunGiving 5k and Fun Run is a local run or walk that will provide food and a clothing room for the Broad Street Ministry Center. This ministry helps seniors, people with disabilities and our local homeless population. Join us on Thanksgiving morning to give back by running and giving back to the community by donating non-perishable food items before the race.

The run will begin at 9 a.m. and end at the Mill Village Trailhead, located at 109 Eve St. Augusta. Register online.

The Fun Run will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Mill Village Trailhead.

Friends of Edgefield Animal Shelter

Present

  • There will be a James Brown Turkey Raffle on November 25th at 8am in May Park. You must already be registered.
  • On November 25 at 11:00 a.m., El Ray Group presents its eighth annual turkey giveaway, located at 3830 Washington Road, Suite 25, in Martinez. First come, first served basis while supplies last.
  • November 25 and 26 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Hope Center cafeteria. The Salvation Army of Augusta offers shelf-stable food boxes to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Those in need of a food box can go to savearmyaugusta.org and fill out the “Contact Us” form.
  • New Zion Branch Ministries and Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church will host a drive-thru event on November 26th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the New Ellenton Community Center located at 212 Pine Hill Avenue.

  • On November 25th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., visit the Barnwell Sheriff’s Office McDonald’s and Friends Day Cafe located at 161 Allen Street. If you would like to help, please email [email protected].
  • On November 26th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, join TW Josey Class for the 15th Annual Feed the Community Event of 1994 in the school cafeteria. If you would like to support, please call 706-513-9714.
  • There will be a Grovetown Community Picnic on November 26 at 11 a.m. at 5140 Wrightsboro Road.
  • On November 28 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, join the Salvation Army for lunch at First Baptist Church, 120 Chesterfield Street N.
  • On November 28 at 1:00 pm join Ft. Eisenhower MWR for dinner. Tickets must be purchased.
  • On November 28th from 5:30-6:00 pm, join the Salvation Army of Augusta for a holiday luncheon at the Hope Center, 1384 Greene Street.
