Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reportedly planning to move to Australia after a difficult year in the US.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reportedly planning to return to Australia after a year marked by personal problems in the United States. The couple, who mainly live in Nashville with their daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, are said to be eyeing their Sydney property as a permanent home.

The past year has been particularly difficult for Kidman. She lost her mother, Janelle Kidman, in September, forcing her to cancel an appearance at the Venice Film Festival. A source called it the couple’s “worst year ever,” adding: “They barely spent any time together and Nicole went through most of her misery alone.”

Amid these problems, the couple is toying with the idea of moving closer to their roots. Kidman and Urban already own several properties in Australia, including a 45-acre estate in the Southern Highlands and several apartments in Sydney overlooking the harbour. The family often spends the holiday season in Sydney, hosting private New Year’s celebrations.

Reflecting on her grief in a recent interview with British GQ magazine, Kidman shared: “As you get older, it hits you—that waking up at 3 a.m. crying and choking.”

While their plans remain unconfirmed, the couple’s potential move underscores their desire to start over and strengthen family ties. If they continue to do so, it will mark a significant shift in their lives as they join other celebrities who have decided to move abroad in search of healing and simplicity.
