Ballon d’Or 2024: Forecast

Winner: Vinicius Junior

The Real Madrid Brazilian superstar had an incredible campaign last season in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Vini Jr scored six goals and provided four assists in 10 matches en route to another European title.

And this is in addition to 15 goals and five assists in La Liga.

Across all competitions, he has 35 goals in 39 games, an incredible achievement considering he has also had to deal with injuries.

On top of that, Bellingham moved to Madrid and Vinicius Jr. had to share the spotlight with him, but the latter still led Real to glory.

Speaking earlier this month, Ancelotti said Vini Jr would win the Ballon d'Or.

Speaking earlier this month, Ancelotti said Vini Jr would win the Ballon d’Or.

Three more trophies last season added to his growing collection, taking him to 13 titles at the age of 24.

Viney Jr’s start to this campaign also strengthens his claim, with him scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in just 15 games.

A Champions League hat-trick within half an hour against Borussia Dortmund recently proved he deserves the award.

And Carlo Ancelotti said after the game that his winger would go top in Paris for his huge contribution to Real Madrid’s success, with his hat-trick against Dortmund going towards next year’s award.

This means that, despite strong claims from Bellingham and Manchester City’s Rodri, it will be the Brazilian who will write his name in the history books.
