CAT 2024, November 24: What to Bring, Basic Guidelines, Admit Details

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 is scheduled to be held on November 24. The two-hour exam will be held in three sessions: from 8:30 to 10:30, from 12:30 to 14:30 and 16:30. evenings until 18:30.

The admit cards already available on iimcat.ac.in are mandatory. Each admit card contains important information such as your name, application number, test day and date, reporting time, gate closing, exam session and center details.

CAT is the key MBA entrance exam in India, recognized by over 100 institutes including prestigious ones like IIM, FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai and IITs. Top colleges usually require CAT scores in the 90-100 percentile range.

Here’s what you need to have on exam day:

• CAT 2024 Admit Cardprinted on A4 paper with a recent photograph attached (the same as the one uploaded during registration).
• An original photo ID (Aadhar, PAN card or passport).
• Affidavit of the scribe, if applicable.

SUBJECTS STRICTLY PROHIBITED FOR CAT 2024

To avoid disqualification, leave at home:

• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices and electronic gadgets such as watches.
• Jewelry or items containing metal.
• Shoes with thick soles and clothes with large buttons.

IMPORTANT DO’S AND DON’T FOR CAT 2024

• Check and carry your admit card and original ID with you.
• Drop the admit card in the box provided after the exam.
• Use only pen and pad for drawing provided at the center. They must be returned after the exam.
• Don’t use the keyboard at any time. This will lock your computer system. Use only the mouse.
• Agree to Non-disclosure agreement before starting the test. Transmission or reproduction of exam details in any form is strictly prohibited.

A valid CAT 2024 score opens doors for postgraduate programs at IIMs and other participating institutions.
