LU KALA is getting ready to release his next single!

The 29-year-old “Pretty Girl Era” singer shared a sonogram photo on Instagram on Friday, November 22. “New chapter🥹🩵🧸,” she wrote under the post.

The next day, the artiste, born Lusamba Vanessa Kalala, explained that her latest song titled “Cry Baby” is coming soon.

“I mean, I didn’t lie… I’m giving birth to a crybaby! Who is ready to look after a child on REPEAT? Pre-save NOW!🍼🧸,” LU KALA captioned a video of herself holding a fake baby.

The song, as reported by LU KALA, will be released sometime in December.

Ever since she performed in church as a child, the Congolese-Canadian singer-songwriter knew she would become a pop star. “I never had a plan B,” she told PEOPLE in March 2023.

“I started playing shows in Toronto and doing various music programs, and then I started traveling to the States to meet people in the music industry,” she recalls.

Last year, the singer became a viral hit with the song “Pretty Girl Era,” which has been featured in more than 23,000 TikTok videos since its release. She has since followed it up with her first ever Billboard Charted on the Hot 100 as the lead artist on Latto’s “Lottery”.

LU KALA finds inspiration in what’s “on her heart” at the moment, knowing she needs to “live life” to create lyrics.

“It was hard during the pandemic, so I mostly wrote about past experiences, but now I’m happy to write again about how I feel now,” the performer said.

“I’ve been feeling really beautiful, confident and centered lately – that’s where the inspiration for ‘Pretty Girl Era’ came from,” she added.
