King Charles III, who performed solo at the Royal Variety Performance for the first time since wearing the crown, appears to have angered his beloved sister-in-law with his move.

The 76-year-old went to the Royal Albert Hall without his wife Queen Camilla, who canceled her performance at the event at the eleventh hour due to health concerns.

However, some royal fans were expecting Prince William and Princess Kate to accompany the king to the star-studded event, as the Princess of Wales enjoys attending these types of entertainment shows and attracts attention with her sense of style.

An insider said: “Princess Catherine may be complaining to her father for not asking her and William to accompany him to a lavish event in the Queen’s absence.”

However, a separate source added: “I don’t think Princess Kate was planning to attend the event as it was decided at the last hour that Queen Camilla would not attend the Royal Variety Performance due to health concerns.”

“Kate is focused on her highly anticipated Christmas event.”

The monarch was due to attend the annual celebration of performing talent along with wife Queen Camilla, but the 77-year-old pulled out of the event hours earlier because she had a “lingering chest infection.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the annual show in 2023 and brought along guest royals Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel.

In November 2022, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie attended the royal show, and in 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also attended the royal show.
