Soborno Bari, the first 12-year-old boy to attend New York University.

It’s great to watch real-life prodigies in action; after all, when we think of them, we think of Doogie Howser and Sheldon Cooper. Two fictional characters, but very much imprinted in our minds a version of what it means to be a child prodigy.

A real-life prodigy who is making waves on the Internet is Soborno Isaac Bari, a twelve-year-old boy with a special gift for mathematics and physics.

“Soborno was born on April 9, 2012 in New York City and is a Bengali-American child prodigy. He is the author of a book called “Love” in which he tries to destroy the prejudices and hatred that arise due to religious differences and prejudices.” (Children’s Chaupal)

He was recently featured on The Jennifer Hudson Show and when he was just twelve, he expressed himself so eloquently. He shared his excitement about attending NYU and, more than academics, is looking forward to the social interaction with other math and physics enthusiasts.

He doesn’t interact much with kids his age, as he went to high school with older ones, but he doesn’t seem to lack for friendships.

Soborno shared his plan to complete his studies and become a professor. He finds joy in helping people in their pursuit of learning and finds this more rewarding than the idea of money.
