Six candidates of Bangladeshi origin are currently running in various US election races.

Of these, five have already been elected and are running for re-election.

Georgia State Senator Sheikh Rahman holds the strongest position among them.

Sheikh Rahman of Georgia is running for re-election from the 5th Senate District, Nabila Islam is running for re-election from the same state’s 7th Senate District, Masudur Rahman is running for re-election from the 4th Senate District in Connecticut, and Salim Saddam is running for re-election from Virginia’s 37th Senate District.

They are all democrats.

However, Abul Bashar Khan, who is running for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in Rockingham’s 20th District, is a Republican.

Another candidate, Dr. Nouran Nabi, is the Democratic candidate.

In addition, several Bangladeshi Americans live in other states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey, at the county and other levels.
