Horror video game Outlast will be made into a film adaptation

survive has been scaring gamers for a while now, and Hollywood is looking to bring those fears to the big screen as Lionsgate is teaming up with Red Barrels to adapt the iconic and influential video game. Producer Roy Lee (This, Barbarian, Late Night with the Devil, Strange Darleneg) will lead the adaptation, and JT Petty (“The Burrowers,” “Hell Lords”) will work on the script.

Petty exclaims, “Red Barrels has been pushing the boundaries of horror in gaming for over a decade, and expanding the Outlast universe into film is an incredible opportunity to delve deeper into the characters and killers we love.”
