Man charged after firearm found in Birmingham

Robert Breaux, 55, of Birmingham, is charged with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court this morning, November 2.

It comes after officers discovered a military firearm at an address in Sulstar Close, Birmingham, on Thursday, October 31.

The force said its investigations were ongoing as it “continued” to remove guns from the streets as part of Operation Target.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “A man has been charged after we recovered a firearm at an address in Birmingham earlier this week.

“Robert Brough, 55, of Birmingham, has been charged with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

“He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning, November 2.

“This comes after officers discovered an offensive firearm at an address in Sulstar Close, Birmingham, on Thursday, October 31st.

“Our investigations are ongoing.

“We continue to remove guns from the streets as part of Operation Target.”
