Harrison Ford endorses Harris and points out Trump officials oppose him

Harrison Ford endorsed Kamala Harris on Saturday while expressing his reluctance to publicize who he’s voting for. In a video released by Harris’ campaign, the Indiana Jones star insists that those close to Trump who choose to oppose him are “telling us something important” by “standing against the leader of the party they’ve spent their lives for protection.”

“Look, I’ve been voting for 64 years,” Ford began. “I never really wanted to talk about it, but when dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding the alarm, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you need to pay attention. They tell us something important. These are not soft people.”

“These are governors and generals going against the leader of the party they’ve spent their entire lives defending,” Ford said. “For a lot of them, this will be the first time they’ve voted for someone who doesn’t have an R next to their name because they know it’s really important.”

“The truth is: Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her on policies or ideas,” the Star Wars actor continued. “And then, as we have done for centuries, we will discuss them, work on them together and move forward. The other guy, he demands unquestioning loyalty, says he wants revenge.

“I’m Harrison Ford. I have one voice, like everyone else. And I’m going to use this to move forward. I will vote for Kamala Harris,” he concluded.

Ford released a series of videos supporting the Harris/Waltz campaign. In the second video, Ford said he disagreed with the couple on every issue, “but these are two people who believe in the rule of law. They believe in science. They believe that when you govern, you govern for all Americans. They believe we are in this together.”

He later added: “Look, I’m upset about a lot of things in this country. I’m sure you do too. But the other guy, he spent four years pitting us against each other, supporting dictators and tyrants around the world. We’re not like that.”

“We don’t need to make America great again. Come on,” Ford concluded. “We’re great, but we need to work together again. All we need is a president who will work for all of us again.”
