Stalker 2 limited edition sets get another run to satisfy ‘ongoing interest’

Stalker masterfully takes you to the Zone. Every breath you take in Chernobyl’s forbidden zone, filled with terrifying, nature-defying anomalies, mercenaries and dangerous mutants, could be your last. People explore the Zone in search of its phenomena, but not everyone manages to get out of there alive. Because they are not ready for what awaits them, but they are ahead Stalker 2upcoming launch, at least you can be. Developer GSC Game World says the physical versions of the game are so popular that they are being released again. So if you want a Stalker backpack, a map, and any other gear you might need for the Zone, now’s your chance.

The release date of Stalker 2 is just around the corner, and the first-person survival shooter is almost upon us. After numerous delays continually pushed the shooter further back, GSC Game World has dealt us the final blow. The team stated that this was done to fix the last bugs before launch, and now that day is almost here.

These delays haven’t dampened player interest either, with GSC Game World claiming that demand for physical versions of the game has never waned. In fact, many of us wanted physical copies of Stalker 2, and there will be even more of them before launch.

“Throughout the entire development of Stalker 2: The Heart of Chernobyl, there was constant interest in the physical editions of the game. As we get closer to launch, we wanted to clarify the status of how the game will be delivered to you or how you can still order it if you haven’t already,” writes GSC Game World.

“Bottom line: The initial number of physical editions are mostly sold out, but we are doing an additional print run to meet demand.”

You also have a lot of choice. There’s a Standard Edition, a Limited Edition, a Collector’s Edition, and the mind-bogglingly huge Ultimate Edition. If you choose Ultimate, you’ll receive the figure, zone map, artifact container lamp, art book, official backpack, and everything else from the game’s small editions.

If you like the physical version of Stalker 2, simply follow this link and decide which version of the game suits you best. GSC Game World adds that if you purchase the physical edition of Stalker 2 as part of the new round of pre-orders, you will receive a digital copy of the game at launch along with the physical version until the end of April 2025. If you’ve already done so and purchased the physical version of the game, don’t worry, it will come to you on launch day.

We even spoke with GSC Game World about the realism of Stalker 2 at Gamescom and learned a lot about what we can expect upon launch. “We give each weapon its own uniqueness and difference from others,” game director Evgeniy Grigorovich told us. “They should have their own other soul, but it shouldn’t be completely realistic. So we can do something more fun, like how the M-10 Market Sprayer works in our game.”
